airCHeck

airCHeck helps you check current air quality in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, whether you want to assess conditions near home, at work, or at a planned destination. It brings together location-based pollution information, interactive maps, and monitoring-station readings so you can review conditions before deciding how to spend time outdoors. Alongside the measurements, the app provides information about possible health effects and precautions during periods of elevated pollution. This combination makes it useful for residents and visitors who want to consider air quality in their everyday plans.

Check your location or a destination

You can look up air quality at your current location or choose another specific place within Switzerland and Liechtenstein. That lets you check conditions where you are now as well as somewhere you intend to visit, such as a destination for a weekend outing.

Understand the pollutants behind the index

The app presents the current air pollution index together with concentrations of fine particles, ozone, and nitrogen dioxide. These pollutant details add context to the overall index rather than leaving you with a single general indication of air quality.

Explore readings on an interactive map

Interactive maps show monitoring stations and real-time air quality updates for different areas. The map view complements location searches by letting you explore where stations are situated and review the conditions they report.

Connect air quality with outdoor plans

Information about potential health effects and precautions accompanies the pollution data. Checking these details before outdoor activities can help you take current conditions into account when planning your day. The app’s role is to provide readings and related guidance, rather than simply display pollutant measurements without explanation.
