Space RPG 4 is an Android space role-playing game in which you command a fleet, explore more than 250 star systems, gather resources and fight real-time battles. Real-time battles with command pauses

Combat runs in real time, with a pause-and-command option for issuing orders to sub-fleets. You can coordinate torpedo spreads, concentrate fire on selected targets and manage shield allocations. Standard turrets use automated targeting, while special weapons support manual aiming.

Encounters combine enemy forces with environmental dangers, creating trade-offs between speed, firepower and preserving resources. Later challenges include grouped enemy waves and event-driven scenarios. There is no global permadeath rule, but losing critical ships to hazards can end a run.

Touch controls and tactical information

A tap selects a vessel, while drag-to-assign controls set waypoints. Contextual menus provide access to loadouts and automatic behaviors, with fleet commands grouped separately from individual ship controls. Tooltips and an in-game help panel explain more advanced mechanics.

An optional tactical overlay shows enemy vectors, resource nodes and gravitational anomalies. Hazard cues also identify radiation pockets and gravitational tides, giving you information to consider when choosing a route.

Ship upgrades and fleet specialization

Ships earn improvement parts that unlock engine, hull and weapon-module upgrades. Development choices include mining efficiency, cargo capacity and combat readiness, allowing vessels to specialize rather than follow the same equipment path.

Fleet-level commander abilities modify trade income, scouting range or repair efficiency. Role-specific equipment packages and cosmetic options provide further customization. Progress into harder sectors depends on maintaining ship upgrades alongside the resources needed to support the fleet.

Star-system presentation and changing objectives

Nebulas, dense asteroid belts and dynamic starfields form the backdrops to the ship interface. Key battles include cinematic camera zooms. The level structure combines procedural elements with handcrafted pacing, rather than making every system follow an identical sequence.

Randomized resource distribution and alternate mission objectives change the circumstances of later runs. Different ship specializations also allow you to revisit fleet composition and trading choices as you encounter new threats.

Session options and offline play

The game includes scalable difficulty, adjustable interface sizing and colorblind-friendly indicators. Short missions and defined save points support shorter play sessions, while performance settings offer control over presentation.

Space RPG 4 has a single-player focus. Core systems are available offline, including exploration and most combat encounters; the description does not establish that every activity works without a connection.
