ColoVPN

ColoVPN is a VPN app for people who want to route internet activity through a VPN connection, including when using public Wi-Fi. Its description lists traffic encryption, IP masking, server-location choices, and settings for adjusting the connection.

When connecting through public Wi-Fi

The app describes encrypting the internet connection to help protect data on public Wi-Fi networks. This function is relevant when browsing or communicating through a shared network. ColoVPN also lists a kill switch: if the VPN connection drops, it can automatically disconnect the device from the internet, rather than continuing online without the VPN connection.

When accessing content tied to another location

For websites or services that restrict access by geographic location, ColoVPN describes masking the IP address and changing the virtual location. The app offers server-location options, and its guidance suggests choosing a location near the desired content or one that provides a faster connection. The description does not specify particular server locations or guarantee access to every service.

When adjusting VPN preferences

ColoVPN lists controls for protocol selection, DNS settings, and encryption strength. These let users tailor those VPN preferences to their needs. The description also names browsing, streaming, and gaming as intended internet activities, but does not provide measured speed or performance information. Server choice and connection settings are presented as options to configure; the source does not say that they are selected automatically.
